I have a huge love of carousels. They are beautiful, colorful rides. They light up, play music, and can be totally romantic. 
I have two huge carousel figurines. And several books on carousels. 
The golden era of carousels lasted only 25 years and ended in 1920. Of the 6,000 carousels built during this time only about 200 remain. 
Horses are the most common animal on carousels but lions are my favorite. 
One of my dreams is to ride the carousel next to the Eiffel Tower.
