Yesterday, December 5th, was Walter Elias Disney's, better known as Walt Disney, birthday. I would like to use today's post as a way to remember Walt Disney. Disney was a producer, director, screenwriter, and voice actor among many other things. He has won numerous Academy and Emmy awards. He was a co-founder, along with his brother, of the Walt Disney Company.
One of his first big successes was Mickey Mouse, who Disney provided a voice and personality for until 1947. Disney received his first Academy Award for Mickey Mouse.
When it became known that Disney wanted to produce an animated version of Snow White it was called "Disney's Folly." Disney's Snow White earned more money in the year was shown than any other film.
The Jungle Book was one of the final productions Walt Disney was a part of before his death.
After Walt Disney's death, his brother continued to work on the amusement park in Flordia and changed the name to Walt Disney World in honor of his brother.
