Sometimes when you no longer see yourself as the hero of your own drama,
expecting victory after victory
and you understand deeply that this is not paradise.
We somehow (especially the privileged ones as we are) we somehow embrace this notion that the veil of tears is perfectible,
that you're going to get it all straight.
I found things became a lot easier for me
when I no longer expected to win.
