Stockholm Fashion Week: Day two - The Local Firm

Berns fabulous baroque hall welcomes me for the first catwalk of the SFW.

Rockabilly style meets the late 80's revival in The Local Firm collection. The true protagonist of this collection is the combination between the architectural cut in pants and jackets - inspired by the Bauhaus movement - and the sophisticated materials.

On the catwalk - accompanied by disco music - classical and fluid suits, technical bomber jacket, cargo pants always turned up on the ankles and ultra-thin jersey cardigan for him. Slim pants, trapezium dresses with lovely belt, and ton sur ton combinations of dresses for her.

The colors: a lot of grey (super chic in the combination with purple), warm earth tones, touches of red and blue and black, of course.

What I loved the most: the silver pumps and the ultra-thin jersey cardigans.

Stockholm Fashion Week: Day one - the Rookies

Ready to go, Stockholm Fashion Week kicked off.

Monday 8 August, with the catwalk of the 5 "Rookies of the year"*,  the Stockholm Fashion Week officially kicked off .
*"The Rookies" is a fashion scene and a forum with the aim of promoting and support smaller fashion companies and upcoming Swedish designers.

On the catwalk a selection of iconic pieces from the collection of the 5 finalists: Erik Bjerkesjö, Granfors, Obscur, Josefin Strid e Karin Malm. Five different ways of interpreting fashion, linked by the same defined and sometimes provocative style, so typical of the young designers.
I adored Granfors symmetries, the way Josefin Strid plays with the contrast of colors (her long caramel dress with the red belt is absolutely my favorite outfit) and the abyssal back necklines of Karin Malm.

For the record the "Rookie of the year" goes to the duo Obscur because their "creative work shows great courage, a feeling of infiniteness and that everything is possible".

Paris Fashion Week Part 2

I REALLY WANTED TO PUBLISH EVERYDAY BUT I DIDN'T HAVE ANY TIME. I WAS RUNNING FROM ONE SHOW TO ANOTHER ON HEELS BUT IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT.
IT'S THE SECOND TIME I WENT TO THE COSTUME NATIONAL SHOW AND I LIKED THIS ONE MORE THAN THE PREVIOUS ONE. I WOULD ACTUALLY WEAR ALL THE DESIGNS. MINIMALISTIC AND GEOMETRICAL CUTS AND INTENSE COLORS WERE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE A/W 2011-1012 SEASON.
KENZO WAS MORE BOHEMIAN WITH DARK COLORS WHICH IS NOT TOO MUCH MY STYLE BUT I LIKED THE SHOW A LOT.
ON MY SECOND DAY IN PARIS I WAS WEARING RED LEATHER PANTS FROM ZARA, A FURRY VEST AND BLACK BOOTS.
NEEDLESS TO SAY I HAD AN AMAZING TIME GOING TO GREAT SHOWS AND PARTIES AND MEETING COOL PEOPLE. I'M REALLY GRATEFUL.
I HAVE A LOT MORE PICTURES TO PUBLISH SO STAY TUNED.
XOXO
