In Your Sunday Vest

Now that warmer weather has finally arrived we can loose those jackets and coats that were so necessary during the colder months. Without those pieces you loose some of the items that can help you create beautiful layered looks. A cooler, more practical clothing piece to use now is the vest. A vest is a piece that can transform some clothes into a real outfit. They are so versatile and come in so many designs and colors that anyone can find one that they simply love as the pictures above show that your vest can be military, pattern, or sequin inspired.

Look 1
I think this maxi dress is so pretty, it has such a beautiful floral print. With all the different colors any color of accessory would match. I love how long and flowy this vest is and that it is asymmetrical.

Look Two
I really like the pattern on this vest and because of it I pair it with simpler pieces. I love the idea of these mismatch stud earrings, it is so cute.

Look 3
I love an outfit that pairs a very feminine item with a not so feminine item and that is definitely achieved here. This dress is so soft and delicate but the denim vest adds a little toughness to the overall love. I kept the other accessories simple in nude and gold.

Color Blocking

One trend that I am liking for this Spring is color blocking. Color blocking is an amzing way to wear bright, vibrant colors together that you normally wouldn't. Make sure you pick your color combinations carefully though. Bright colors are great for color blocking because they offer a variety of contrasts. A pair of colored jeans would be a great piece to help you make a wonderful color blocking outfit. Another thing to do when assembling your color blocking outfit is to play with fabrics and mix it up. If you aren't sure about a your color blocking keep it simple and add pops of bold colors with your accessories. Even some celebrities have been sporting this trend.

Like some of you I am not quite sure if I can pull off some of the vibrant outfts we see above, but I love this trend. I may need to keep it simple like Taylor Swift does in the photo below.

So how do you feel about this trend? What colors would you pair together?
