Three New pieces at Bear & Bird Gallery
So many apologies for the lack up updates! I've been SWAMPED with tons of projects and art this month, I've been making art every day, but not having too much time to scan/post pics!
I wanted to do a quick post about my three pieces at the Bear & Bird Gallery in Lauderhill, FL:
Bear and Bird Gallery
All the artwork is 8x10 or smaller and priced for gift giving. Local, national and international artists with a wide range of styles!
...
Top three Reasons you don't want to miss the Small Stuff 4!
#1: Awesome art for great prices, really great!
#2: It is cash and carry, so you get to take the artwork home as soon as you buy it!
#3: Start your holiday shopping right BEFORE Thanksgiving, that way you can feel like you're ahead of the game. Art=awesome gifts.
Show runs January 6th though and open Mon-Thurs 11-8pm Fri & Sat 11-9pm & Sun 12noon-6pm

Los Angeles, CA
swoon gallery is proud to announce the upcoming exhibition, “get the lead out II”, featuring artist sketches, pen & ink drawings, watercolors and finished paintings.
incredible art comes from deep within the depths of one's imagination. this exhibition is about showcasing those ‘deep thoughts’ as they are sketched out on paper before becoming a final work. each artist pours his emotions into his work, and it all stems from a single thought, idea, dream or memory.... in essence, it is a moment in time captured on paper.
a wide array of artists & styles are shown in this exhibition. each demonstrates a unique vision and structure with their illustrative roots. artists were asked to submit a variety of works that show these beginnings and often tossed out "sketches" that are drawn before a final work is created.
artworks are priced at $500 or less, with at least one work priced at $100 or less from each artist.
please email hello@swoongallery.com to be placed on the preview list.

3G Show with Autumn Society at G1988
Here are my pieces for the Autumn Society's upcoming 3G show at Gallery 1988.
The 3 Gs of 3G are Ghostbusters, Gremlins, and Goonies, so each artist had to interpret all three movies in three separate pieces.
These were super fun to make; I was very inspired by old Victorian portraits of children with their pets & dolls, and was thinking about the iconic elements of all three movies that would pair well with children/young adults. And people who know my art know I love drawing/painting ladies and animals, so this was a way to marry the theme with my style.
I wanted to also make them very somber and ornate, like small Victorian cameos, hence the framing technique.
Here are the show details:
