30 Outfits in 30 Days

It's crazy looking at the past 30 days all in one post. Some of these are my absolute favorites that I will definitely be wearing again, and others, well... probably not. One thing is for sure though; I've found a new love for mixing patterns that I never would have been gutsy enough to do before this challenge. It was pretty surprising how totally different pieces meshed together so well. I'll definitely be doing it more often!

I added some of my own rules during the 30x30 such as wearing each article of clothing and pair of shoes at least twice throughout the whole process. Also, I never wore the same shoes two days in a row which was a bit tricky, but I somehow made it work. I found my nude heels the most difficult to remix; I only wore them with my polka dot skirt because all my other clothes looked a bit too casual to wear them with. Ah well, more room for improvement!

Here are a couple facts regarding my first 30x30 challenge:

Most Faves: #1, #6, #9, #16, #22, #27, #29
Least Faves: #5, #11, #14, #18, #23, #28
Easiest Remixing Pieces: romper, tan shorts, tribal-print tank
Hardest Remixing Pieces: balloon-print top, gray knit cardigan, nude heels

And (for the last time), you can check out all the pieces I remixed here!
Thanks for all the support! :)

Finish Line

{ Express top; F21 shorts; Hollister cardigan; Agaci belt & sunnies; DSW sandals }

I DID IT.
30 pieces. 30 outfits. 30 days.
Now excuse me while I go hug all my other clothes.

Oh, and that pink brick I'm holding is actually my phone.
I was talking to my mom in between shots. hehe.
At least it goes with my outfit!

Weirdly Works

{ Urban Outfitters top; F21 skirt & belt; Wanted wedges }

This is surprisingly one of my favorite outfits from this whole challenge! I had no idea what I wanted to wear today; I only knew that whatever I wore had to go with this top because I've only used it once so far, and I want to wear every article of clothing (including shoes) at least twice. I could have stuck with just the tan shorts I sported in this outfit, but that would've been too easy. Then I saw my polka dot skirt. My common sense said "No! What are you thinking?!" but my gut said "Eh, what's the harm in trying it?" So I did and BAM! I love it. It's quirky, but it weirdly works (see what I did there?).

Only one more to go!

Lazy Sunday

{ Express top; F21 shorts & sandals; Charlotte Russe cardigan; gifted ring }

Woke up, went to church, Trae took me to IHOP (mmmm waffles!), then we went to Borders and got a few books (they're going out of business, so discounts all around!) and now we're awaiting for the arrival of his sister from California! I haven't seen her since April, so I can't wait to reunite! I hope I can stay awake until then... What is it about Sundays that just make me wanna nap for hours on end? I think most people would agree that the day before a hectic Monday is the best time to just relaxxxx. Oh yes, that sounds great right about now.

Oh, What to Do...

{ F21 top, shorts, & necklace; Target wedges; Aldo belt }

Welp, the boyfriend is out of town tonight, and all my friends are either working, on vacation, or have prior engagements. You know what that means?! Aw yeahhhhh... movie night with my parents! Haha. My stepdad wants to see the new Harry Potter movie (I feel like I mention HP on my blog a bit more than a normal person would...) so looks like I'm seeing it again! Which of course I don't mind. Then, who knows? I'll probably just watch Hey Arnold and Rocko's Modern Life (cartoons from my childhood) on netflix while stuffing my face with ice cream until I fall asleep. I know, I'm a real party animal.

Third Time's the Charm

{ F21 dress (worn as a skirt), top, belt & flats; necklace from some shop in England }

Last summer, I went to England to visit my dad's side of the family, and I ended up buying a crap-load of clothes and jewelry. I wanted to have things to wear that I didn't see on every other girl at the mall or at school. I think most girls enjoy that feeling, right? The problem is that I don't remember where the heck I bought all my accessories and such, so I'm stuck with describing them as "some shop in England". Just wanted to clarify I'm not deliberately not telling you where I got my items from, I simply can't remember. I do, however, remember getting this particular necklace at a grocery store that resembled America's Walmarts. Fellow Brits, help me out here!

Also, you may or may not have noticed I am, yet again, wearing my dress as a skirt. Yes, this is the 3rd time doing this in my 30x30 challenge, wanna fight about it? Joking. I did something a tad bit different this time though: I flipped the top of the dress inside the bottom part (as opposed to just wearing the whole dress underneath). I was surprised at how simple and non-poofy it was; I should've done that for this outfit instead of tucking my shirt into my belt. Now I know!

Happy Weekend!

The Home Stretch

{ F21 top, shorts & sandals; Mom's belt }

Finally down to the last five outfits. My last post for this 30 for 30 is supposed to be on August 9th which works out perfectlyyy because I'm headed to the beach the next day with the boyfriend and his family! It'll be a nice break from posting every single day.

Today I went treasure hunting in my mom's closet and ended up finding a bunch of skinny belts hiding in the very back under some old lady-suits that would've made Hilary Clinton jealous (ehhh love you Mom). At first my mom was about to object, but then she realized she never ever even wears skinny belts. So guess who just got some new accessories? ;)

A Scurry to Hurry

{ Old Navy dress (worn underneath); F21 top & belt; DSW sandals }

Like my rhyming skills?

Not much effort went into this outfit; okay, no effort went into this outfit. Lazy, right? I was running late to meet my family for lunch, so I had kind of a "GAGHH!" moment and grabbed the closest things near me before I left. I threw on a belt and voila! Not much to "voila" about, but whatevs.

  I'm kinda diggin' this "dress as skirt" trend... It widens my closet choices and doesn't make me look so plain jane! I'm excited to try it with the rest of my dresses. Which reminds me, when is this thing over?! I miss my other clothes. They need love too! D:

Oh, and if you're just tuning in and would like to see the clothes I'm remixing, click here!

Just Go with It

{ Wet Seal top; F21 skirt; Agaci belt & sunnies; Wanted wedges }

Who knows what my thought process was for this outfit; I sure don't. At first I was just going to stick with the safe route and wear my tan sandals to match the belt, but then I saw my yellow wedges and thought "what the heck? I'll add a third pop of color." So this is the result.

I can't believe it's August already! I didn't even realize it yesterday. So much is going on this month! Beach trip, Orlando trip, move-in day, back to school... which I still haven't ordered my textbooks. Ugh, so stressful. I try not to think about it. Why can't summer last for 9 months, and school only 3 months? That would be so much easier... Of course, then it would take like 10 years to graduate, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make! ;p

Saved by the Belt

{ Express top; F21 shorts, belt & sandals }

Back in April, I had a craving for all things floral. I had gotten floral printed shoes, shorts, dresses, tops, jewelery, you name it! I had fallen in love with the style. Another piece I purchased from my "floral rampage" was this belt. I had no idea what I was going to wear it with; all I knew was that I had never seen anything like it and so I just had to have it.

It's been a bit difficult finding things to go with it. In fact, this is the first time I've ever worn it. This outfit would've been pretty lame if it weren't for the belt, I think. Still, I need some advice: what would you guys recommend pairing it with?
