30 Outfits in 30 Days

It's crazy looking at the past 30 days all in one post. Some of these are my absolute favorites that I will definitely be wearing again, and others, well... probably not. One thing is for sure though; I've found a new love for mixing patterns that I never would have been gutsy enough to do before this challenge. It was pretty surprising how totally different pieces meshed together so well. I'll definitely be doing it more often!

I added some of my own rules during the 30x30 such as wearing each article of clothing and pair of shoes at least twice throughout the whole process. Also, I never wore the same shoes two days in a row which was a bit tricky, but I somehow made it work. I found my nude heels the most difficult to remix; I only wore them with my polka dot skirt because all my other clothes looked a bit too casual to wear them with. Ah well, more room for improvement!

Here are a couple facts regarding my first 30x30 challenge:

Most Faves: #1, #6, #9, #16, #22, #27, #29
Least Faves: #5, #11, #14, #18, #23, #28
Easiest Remixing Pieces: romper, tan shorts, tribal-print tank
Hardest Remixing Pieces: balloon-print top, gray knit cardigan, nude heels

And (for the last time), you can check out all the pieces I remixed here!
Thanks for all the support! :)

Third Time's the Charm

{ F21 dress (worn as a skirt), top, belt & flats; necklace from some shop in England }

Last summer, I went to England to visit my dad's side of the family, and I ended up buying a crap-load of clothes and jewelry. I wanted to have things to wear that I didn't see on every other girl at the mall or at school. I think most girls enjoy that feeling, right? The problem is that I don't remember where the heck I bought all my accessories and such, so I'm stuck with describing them as "some shop in England". Just wanted to clarify I'm not deliberately not telling you where I got my items from, I simply can't remember. I do, however, remember getting this particular necklace at a grocery store that resembled America's Walmarts. Fellow Brits, help me out here!

Also, you may or may not have noticed I am, yet again, wearing my dress as a skirt. Yes, this is the 3rd time doing this in my 30x30 challenge, wanna fight about it? Joking. I did something a tad bit different this time though: I flipped the top of the dress inside the bottom part (as opposed to just wearing the whole dress underneath). I was surprised at how simple and non-poofy it was; I should've done that for this outfit instead of tucking my shirt into my belt. Now I know!

Happy Weekend!

Hot (air balloon) Mess

( Macy's top; F21 shorts, belt, flats, and headband; Express cardigan )

Friday already? Yikes, my summer is flashing right before my eyes! I still haven't ordered my textbooks yet. Last semester I waited until my professors confirmed that we actually did need them (y'know, to save money!). Big mistake. I was slacking in all of my assignments because I waited too long! Not this time. Nope! Ugh, I really don't wanna go back though. I've noticed that most bloggers I've stumbled upon are already done with school, and to that I say, "luckkyyyy..." (and I say this with my best Napoleon Dynamite impression... which isn't that good).

Well, I tried my best for this outfit, but honestly, I'm lookin' a little frumpy! Maybe it's because I was way too lazy to do anything to my hair. I once read that "second day hair" looks way nicer than after you just washed it... I wish that applied to me! Can you even tell I'm wearing a headband? Trae said he didn't even notice! Also, I think this cardigan is just a little too thick to be belted. It's one of my favorite pieces, but I guess I'll have to try a different tactic neck time! Maybe a wider belt would do the trick... Any suggestions?

Have a lovely Friday everyone!
