One accessory that every girl needs is a men's watch. I have been in love with these chunkier, bigger watches for years. My mom would say "Why do you want a big watch like that?" I know she was thinking that those watches are not very feminine and she is right to some degree. But I think that by just wearing one of these oversized watches we, as women, are making them somewhat feminine. I like the fact that they aren't very feminine too, because that gives your look a little edge especially if it is a very feminine look.

Tick Tock

Sometimes we are all controlled by the time or how much we have of it, whether it is an upcoming deadline, what time we are meeting our friends for lunch, or is it time for that meeting yet. At work I need to keep up with time so that I get everything accomplished that I wanted to that day. I also have to keep up with time so that I am not late to work. Outside of work I need to keep track of time too. I want to catch my favorite show on tv, meet my friends on time, and when is it time to get those cookies out of the oven. We have so many options for how we can keep track of time too.

In this polyvore I wanted to show a variety of beautiful ways to tell time. I am a huge fan of the charm bracelets that have a small clock as one of the charms. I think this a great way to show your personality, by the other charms on your bracelet or by which charm bracelet you choose. I also like the necklaces that have a simple clock face on them like the square clock or the round one.

Birds of a Feather...

This spring and summer I have really liked clothes with birds on them whether it is a shirt, dress, or jewelry. Birds also make me think back to the literature classes that I have had where we have had to read books, short stories, poems, etc. and know the symbolism that occurs in the books (I had two classes like this in high school). Birds in general, typically symbolize freedom. Often times, since they are not earth bound creatures, they are used to represent something between the psychical world and the spiritual world. You don't have to look at the big picture though, individual types of birds also have their own symbolism. One of my favorites is that the crane symbolizes longevity and health. Another is that the eagle symbolizes protection.

I LOVE the bird rings that I have paired with the first two outfits. The first ring is so simple but I think it is so beautiful. The second ring is so bright and cheerful that I adore it. I think the shirt with the parrots on it is such a pretty color and the parrots are sitting so that they kind of form a heart! The shoes that I have paired with the dresses are such vibrant colors that I find them simply dazzling and the dresses are so cute! Which items do you like the best?

I have an immense fascination with owls. I think they belong on anything and everything from lamps to pillows, shirts to necklaces, purses to rings, and so on. I find owl jewelery very charming. Owls have been used to symbolize certain things. I am sure most of us are aware of owls being a symbol for wisdom, because a lot of us have heard the saying, "Wise as an owl" before. Don't be Trashy

Tomorrow is Earth Day. Earth Day which is celebrated on April 22nd each year was designed to encourage all of us to become more aware of the impact of our actions on the earh and also to appreciate our environment. In honor of Earth Day I'm going to share a few of my favorite earth friendly products. These adoreable greeting cards can be planted by the recipient to bloom beautiful wildflowers. This eco-friendly elephant made from organic cotton and hemp would be the perfect gift for a child's birthday or a baby shower. Dressy and Delicate in Romantic Ruffles

There's nothing more romantic or feminine than ruffles. Since ruffles are light and airy they are perfect for Spring. They can be incorporated into your clothes for any type of situation. The pencil skirt below would be perfect to wear to an important meeting at work and the tank tunic would be great to wear while running errands on a Saturday morning. The Ardenb one shoulder dress is my favorite piece. The lilac color is beautiful for this time of year and I can picture anyone dressed in this receiving numerous compliments.
